Pupil Support Roles

School Council

At Oughtibridge Primary, the views and ideas of the pupils are valued. Every September we have School Council elections in KS2. All pupils are invited to stand for election. Those taking part are asked to prepare a short speech about why they should be elected and the changes they would like to make to the school.

Our School Council meets regularly to discuss important issues.

Playground Friends

Pupils in Y6 have the opportunity to be trained as a Playground friend. They run activities and games for pupils from FS2 up to Y5 at lunchtime.

Librarians

We have a very keen group of Y6 librarians who run the KS1 and KS2 libraries in school.

Peer Mediators

Children in Y5 train to be peer mediators and support pupils in the playground to resolve minor disagreements

Sports Leaders

Y2 and Y6 pupils provide sporting activities and competitions for other pupils during lunchtimes.

Eco Council

Our eco council is elected once a year. They meet and work to make our school a greener place to lean and work.
